RYLA aims to:
- Demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth;
- Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders;
- Encourage leadership of youth by youth;
- Recognise publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities.
Yuma Rotary sponsored 17 students from District 5500 to participate in at 2017's RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) held at Chapel Rock in Prescott, Arizona. This four day camp teaches students about leadership, teamwork, relationship building and community service.
