Yuma Rotary Club has received an outpouring of support from the Yuma community allowing us to have our most successful fundraising years ever! As as result, the Yuma Rotary Club is awarding a total of $40,000 to a 2017 graduate from a public or private high school in Yuma, Arizona. Deadline to apply is May 26th!

Description and Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must have minimum weighted GPA of 3.2.

Part of your application must include a typed statement describing how you have served your local community and your specific plans on how you will impact your community once you have graduated from college.

The application form must be typed and include the following:
1) Title Page
2) General Application Form
3) Resume – See handout for more information
4) Personal Essay on Community Service
5) Three Letters of Recommendation – these recommendations should be from
various sources who know your work ethic, character, academic ability, potential
for success, values and your impact you have made in the community
6) Official transcript from the Registrar’s Office.
7) Award letter from university student plans to attend
8) Copy of FAFSA Student Aid Report

Once your application is submitted, we will review applications and contact applicants for an interview which will be held on June 9, 2017. If you are not available for an interview that day, please do not apply.

The scholarship award will be presented to the winner on June 20, 2017 at The Yuma Rotary Club’s luncheon at the Yuma Golf and Country Club.

The total scholarship award will be dispersed over the course of eight semesters and must be used for tuition and other school fees only. The scholarship will be reviewed on an academic term to term basis. The student must remain a full-time student progressing toward a degree maintaining a 3.0 grade point average.
